TROPICAL DRY FRUITS is a division of Eternal Blooms an SME unit established in 2009 for processing Preserved Flowers and plants .We were the first to do Flower & Foliage preservation in India . Since its inception we diversified into other areas of Agriculture / horticulture processing mainly in the field of Dehydrating/ Drying and frying .

Our Experience coupled with our knowledge in the field has helped us develop a unique health conscious & Superior quality products from our state of the Art Facility at KINFRA industrial Park , Kalpetta, Wayand Kerala India.

Dehydrated Fruits

Our dehydrated fruits are a real treat for the ultra health conscious customers. No preservatives, colour or sugar are added in the processing of our dried fruits. They are processed under high standards and the products are not subjected to too much cold as in freeze drying or too much heat as in conventional drying. As a result, best flavor, colour and fruit nutrient qualities are retained to the maximum.

Advantages of Dehydrated fruits

Dried fruits offers some advantages over fresh fruits, a longer shelf life and portability. If you are watching your weight, dried fruits should be eaten in moderation as they contain significantly more calories per serving than fresh fruits.

Some dried fruits which contain sugars added in processing which increase its calorie content. However, dried fruits without additives offer numerous health benefits.

High Fiber

Dried fruits generally contains more fiber than the same-sized serving of their fresh counterparts. Fiber helps your digestive system running smoothly. Dried apricots, for example. contain 6.5 grams per cup, while fresh apricots contain just 3.1 grams fiber not only helps your digestive system according to the Harvard School of Public Health, it helps prevents obesity, heart disease and some forms of cancer

Antioxidants

Some dried fruits are good source of certain antioxidants, according to a 2005 study in the american college of nutrition. Phenols a type of antioxidants are more abundant in fruits like dates and figs than in some fresh fruits, leading researchers to advise that more dry fruits be included in the american diet. Plant polyphenols have been found to fight heart disease, Cancer, Osteoporosis, diabetes, cancer and degenerative diseases of the brain, according of the November-December 2009 issue of ” Oxidative medicine and cellular longevity”

Nutrient Density 

As most of the water is extracted from the dry fruits, their nutrients are condensed into  a small package. Dry fruits like apricots, raisins, apple, mango, banana and figs contain high amount of beta carotene, vitamin E, niacin, iron, potassium, magnesium and calcium reports the European food information council.

Fat and Calories

Dried fruits contains little to no fat. They also contain significant calories per serving, making them a natural source of energy for athletes. They are also a good supplement for people seeking to gain weight healthfully. If you are watching your weight you may want to limit your intake of dried fruits due to the calorie content.

Our Drying Process

  • The selected fruits are cleaned sliced and sterilised before going into our drying chambers.
  • The chambers are sterilized heatless drying chambers and kept ozone sterilized intermittently during the process.
  • The resulting products will be clean and with only desired moisture and will retain the best natural colour taste and flavor

Vacuum Fried Fruits

Here the fruits made crispy snacks by frying the fruits at low temperature in refined oil.

Advantages

  • The product or oil is not exposed to air during frying and thus avoiding  oxidation. This helps retain the nutrient qualities, colour.
  • The frying is done at low temperature thus retains the qualities of the frying medium unlike in deep frying. It also prevents any acrylamide formation.
  • Less moisture content in the product thus making it crispy snacks.
  • Almost 60% less oil than in the other conventional frying thereby making it more healthy snacks.
  • No preservatives, colour or sugar is added during the process, making it more desirable for the health conscious customer.

Vacuum Fried Vegetables

Most vegetables have a lot of health benefits associated with it, but some of them may not be have appealing taste when eaten raw so we have used vacuum frying  technology to  make it tastier and appealing without losing much of its beneficial aspects

Okra – high in dietary fibre has anti stress capabilities anti fatigue and said to have abilities to lower cholesterol.

Pumpkin- Rich in Anti oxidants,  Vitamin A  and is claimed to have a body system detoxification effect and thereby maintain body immunity.

Sweet Potato – high in fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5 Vitamin B6 and rich in minerals.
